# Profile & Password

> Update your profile and change your password

# Account

The Account page lets you update your name and change your password. Access it by clicking your **user menu** (your name at the bottom of the sidebar) and selecting **[Profile](https://app.getsolum.com/account)**.

## Profile

You can update your **name** from the Profile page. Your email address is shown but cannot be changed — contact [support@getsolum.com](mailto:support@getsolum.com) if you need to update it.

## Changing Your Password

1. Go to your **user menu → [Profile](https://app.getsolum.com/account)**.
2. Enter your **current password**.
3. Enter your **new password**.
4. **Confirm** your new password.
5. Click **Change Password**.

After changing your password, all other active sessions are logged out for security.

### Password Requirements

Your new password must meet all of these:

* At least **12 characters**
* At least one **uppercase** letter (A-Z)
* At least one **lowercase** letter (a-z)
* At least one **number** (0-9)
* At least one **special character** (`!@#$%^&*(),.?":{}|<>`)

The page shows real-time feedback as you type.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem                               | Fix                                                                                                                                                           |
| ------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| "Current password is incorrect"       | Double-check your current password. If you can't remember it, use the [Forgot Password](/guides/forgot-password) flow instead.                                |
| Password doesn't meet requirements    | Make sure it's at least 12 characters and includes uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character.                                                   |
| Don't see the Change Password section | This section only appears if your account has a password set. If you haven't created a password yet, use the [Forgot Password](/guides/forgot-password) flow. |
