# Forgot Password

> How to reset your password if you've forgotten it

# Forgot Password

If you can't log in because you've forgotten your password, you can reset it from the login page.

## How to Reset Your Password

1. Go to the [login page](https://app.getsolum.com/login).
2. Click **"Forgot your password?"** below the password field.
3. Enter the **email address** associated with your account.
4. Click **Send Reset Link**.
5. Check your inbox for an email from **[notifications@updates.getsolum.com](mailto:notifications@updates.getsolum.com)** with the subject "Reset your password".
6. Click the link in the email.
7. Enter your **new password** and confirm it.
8. You'll be redirected to the login page — sign in with your new password.

  The reset link expires after **1 hour**. If it expires, go back to the login page and request a new one.

## Password Requirements

Your new password must meet all of these:

* At least **12 characters**
* At least one **uppercase** letter (A-Z)
* At least one **lowercase** letter (a-z)
* At least one **number** (0-9)
* At least one **special character** (`!@#$%^&*(),.?":{}|<>`)

The reset page shows real-time feedback as you type so you can see which requirements are met.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem                                | Fix                                                                                                                                       |
| -------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Didn't receive the reset email         | Check your **spam or junk folder**. The email comes from [notifications@updates.getsolum.com](mailto:notifications@updates.getsolum.com). |
| Reset link says "expired" or "invalid" | Links expire after 1 hour and can only be used once. Request a new one from the login page.                                               |
| Don't remember which email I used      | Contact your company's Admin or reach out to [support@getsolum.com](mailto:support@getsolum.com).                                         |
| Password doesn't meet requirements     | Make sure it's at least 12 characters and includes uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character.                               |
